Cut onions into rounds and separate each rings. Dip each onion rings in the batter and deep fry. Sprinkle chat masala on the crispy fried onion rings and serve hot with pulao or Biryani.

4 onions
1 1/4 cups plain flour (maida)
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp black pepper (kalimirch) powder
a pinch of baking soda
salt to taste
oil for frying
Method
- method
- Peel and cut the onions into rings. keep aside.
- Make a batter of pouring consistency with the flour, buttermilk, black pepper powder, soda bi-carb and salt.
- Dip the onion rings in the batter and deep fry in hot oil till golden brown in colour.
- Drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve hot.
