Rice kichu is a traditional rice based savory porridge recipe with rice flour cooked with jeera, ginger paste and then spiced up with green chillies.

1 cup rice flour (chawal ka atta)
1 1/2 cups water
1/4 tsp ginger-green chilli paste
pinch of soda
a pinch of asafoetida (hing)
1 tbsp oil and cumin seeds (jeera)
2 bunches of coriander (dhania)
salt to taste
Method
- Add oil in a vessel
- Add jeera ginger green paste & hing
- Add water
- Add salt to taste
- Add soda
- When water boils
- Add rice flour and mix well
- Cover for 2mins
- Add corriander mix well cover for 1 min
- Seve hot with oil.
