Spicy Treat is a very refreshing and delicious drink to beat the summers heat.
Spicy Treat recipe - How to make Spicy Treat

Makes 4 to 6 servings
1 cup fresh curds (dahi)
3 cups water
1 tsp grated beetroot
2 tbsp grated cucumber
1/2 tsp chopped green chillies (optional)
1/2 tsp grated ginger (adrak)
2 tsp mint leaves (phudina)
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1/2 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
crushed ice
1/2 tsp ghee
Method
- Method
- Mix curds and water and blend in a mixer for 2 minutes.
- Add the beetroot, cucumber, green chilies, ginger, salt and crushed ice and blend again.
- Heat ghee in a small pan, add the mustard seeds and cumin seeds. When the seeds crackle add to the prepared curd mixture.
- Pour into serving glasses, sprinkle garam masala and garnish with mint leaves.
- Serve chilled.
