This was one of the preparations my grandmother used to prepare as offering to god for the new moon day. with both a sweet and sour taste,along with fresh homemade ghee, it is a delight to the taste buds.
Sweet mango rice recipe - How to make Sweet mango rice
Cooking Time: Total Time:
Cooked rice 2 cups
Raw mango 1
Fresh grated coconut 1/2 cup
Jaggery 1/2 cup grated
Ghee 2 tblsp
Method
- Wash and grate the green mango.
- Take the hot rice in a wide mouthed vessel.
- Add the grated mango, fresh grated coconut, grated jaggery and the ghee.
- Mix well and serve hot.
- A little powdered cardamom can be added for taste.
