To Be Mixed and Grounded Into A Smooth Powder
1 tsp fenugreek (methi) seeds
1 tsp nigella seeds (kalonji)
1 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
2 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
Other Ingredients
1 tbsp ginger-garlic (adrak-lehsun) paste
1/2 cup curds (dahi)
salt to taste
10 green chillies , chopped
4 tbsp oil
1 1/2 cups sliced onions
1 kg baby potatoes , boiled and peeled
Method
- Method
- Combine the curds, ginger-garlic paste and salt, mix well and keep aside for 30 minutes.
- Heat the oil in a kadhai, add the onions and saute till light brown.
- Add the chillies and the potatoes and cook till the mixture dries up and potatoes are cooked.
- Add the prepared masala powder, mix well and saute for 1 minute.
- Add ½ cup of hot water, mix well and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve hot.
