Besan ki Omelette is also commonly known as tomato omellete and is a protein rich breakfast or snack recipe. The besan is made into a thick batter and then added with chopped onion, chillies and tomatoes before spreading it on a pan just like pancake.

1 tsp olive oil / oil
2 eggs
4 tbsp besan (Bengal gram flour)
1/2 tbsp cumin seeds (jeera)
a pinch of asafoetida (hing)
1/2 tbsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tbsp chilli powder
1/2 tbsp coriander-cumin seeds (dhania-jeera) powder
1 red chilli, chopped
1 tbsp ginger-garlic (adrak-lehsun) paste
1 tbsp curds (dahi)
1/4 tbsp garam masala
salt to taste
Method
- Take the besan in a bowl,add all the ingridients and try to make it semi liquid paste by using 3-4 tblsp of water if needed.
- Add the egg ind beat the whole paste untill mix well.
- Heat the frying pan on medium heat with a drop of olive oil and pour half paste in the pan.
- Allow it to cook on each side until golden brown.
- Serve hot.
