Bharwan Makai Tamatar recipe - How to make Bharwan Makai Tamatar

Makes 4 serving
4 tbsp ghee
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp ginger (adrak) garlic (lehsun) paste
1 tsp chopped green chilly
1/4 cup kaju-melon seeds paste
1 tsp finely chopped onions
2 tbsp chopped tomatoes
1 cup boiled and coarsely crushed sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane)
1/2 red chilli powder
1 tbsp coriander-cumin seeds (dhania-jeera) powder
1 tsp dry fenugreek (methi) leaves leaves
salt to taste
4 no.s large tomatoes
chopped coriander (dhania) for garnishing
Method
- Method
- Heat the ghee and add ginger garlic paste,green chillies,onion and saute till onion turns translucent.
- Then add chopped tomatoes and kaju-melon seeds paste and saute for few minutes.
- Add sweet corn,red chilli powder,coriander-cumin seeds powder,dry fenugreek powder,salt and mix all well.
- Saute this for few more minutes.
- Take the tomatoes and cut to half and scoop out the seeds from centre.
- Fill in with the stuffing prepared in the scooped out tomatoes and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a kadhai and put the stuffed tomatoes and saute till tomatoes are soft.
- Serve hot garnished with coriander with roti,paratha,naan etc.
