Makes 8 to 10 servings
500 gms cabbage , shredded
2 onions , finely chopped
250 gms potatoes , peeled , boiled and mashed
salt to taste
2 tsp finely chopped green chillies
1 cup finely chopped coriander (dhania)
12 to 15 broken cashewnuts (kaju)
1 tsp chilli powder
a pinch turmeric powder (haldi)
1 egg , beaten
ghee for deep frying
Method
- Method
- Heat some ghee in a pan and add the onions, cabbage, green chillies, potatoes and saute till golden brown.
- Add the cashewnuts, coriander, turmeric powder, and salt and mix well.
- Divide the mixture into equal sized round flat cutlets.
- Heat the ghee in a kadhai and dip each cutlet in the egg and deep fry till golden brown and crisp from all the sides.
- Serve immediately.
