Crunchy walnuts coated with crispy caramelized sugar, indeed this is a lip-smacking treat! while caramelized walnuts can be served to kids as mini tidbits, they can also be a wonderful addition to salads, as they provide a crunchy sweet break in the midst of crispy veggies or tangy fruits. You can make a batch of this and store in an airtight container for 4-5 days.

1/2 cup walnuts (akhrot)
1/4 cup sugar

- Add the walnuts, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring continuously.
- Remove from the flame and allow it to cool. Use as required.
