For Cheese Onion Rings
2 cups thick onion rings
24 mozzarella cheese strips
bread crumbs for coating
oil for deep frying
To Be Mixed Into A Slurry
1/2 cup plain flour (maida)
1/4 cup cornflour
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
1 tsp garlic (lehsun) powder
1 tsp dry red chilli flakes (paprika)
1 tsp dried oregano
salt and to taste
For cheese onion rings
- For cheese onion rings
- To make {span class="bold1"}cheesy onion rings{/span}, cut slightly thick rings of onion.
- Separate each ring and place mozzarella cheese slice between 2 onion rings.
- Coat each prepared onion ring in plain flour slurry.
- Coat with breadcrumbs, again coat them in the slurry and again in the breadcrumbs.
- Repeats steps to make remaining onion rings.
- Heat oil in a deep pan, deep fry few onion rings at a time till golden brown in colour.
- Drain on an absorbent paper.
