Makes 8 parathas.
3/4 cup moong dal (split green gram) with skin
2 cups whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
2 tsp coarsely powdered coriander (dhania) seeds
3 green chillies, finely chopped
1 chopped onion
2 tsp oil
1 potato, boiled and mashed
salt to taste
oil or ghee for frying
Method
- Method
- Mix all the ingredients and add water to make a soft dough.
- Roll out into thick rotis and cook on a tawa (griddle) on both sides with oil until pink spots come on top.
- Serve hot with curds.
