Makes 2 to 3 servings
100 gms cooked rice vermicelli (seviyan)
1 tsp chopped ginger (adrak)
1 tsp chopped green chillies
1 tbsp broken cashewnuts (kaju)
3 tbsp freshly grated coconut
salt to taste
2 tbsp coconut oil
For The Tempering
2 tsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
1/2 tsp urad dal (split black lentils)
1 to 2 whole dry kashmiri red chillies
few curry leaves (kadi patta)
Method
- Method
- Heat the oil in a kadhai and add the mustard seeds and urad dal.
- When the seeds crackle, add the red chillies and curry leaves and saute for 20 seconds.
- Add the green chillies, cashew nuts, peanuts and ginger and saute for 2 minutes.
- Lower the flame, add the coconut and saute for 30 seconds.
- Add the cooked vermicelli and salt and mix well.
- Serve hot.
