Dhal Bullets recipe - How to make Dhal Bullets
Preparation Time: Cooking Time: 10 miniutes Total Time:
1 cup chana dal (split Bengal gram)
1 cup toovar (arhar) dal
4 to 5 red chillies
6 green chillies
asafoetida (hing)
1 cup grated fresh coconut
turmeric powder (haldi) (little)
salt to taste
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
Method
- Soak dhals together for an hour and drain all the water.
- Add all the ingridents exceptlime juice and corrienda
- Grind them into coarse paste with out adding water if it becomes very dry you can add littie more coconut
- Add corrienda and limejuice
- Keep the iddli stand in the vessel or in the cooker
- Grease the steaming plates
- Shape this dhal batter into bullets shape and steam them for 10 miniutes
- Serve hot with a dash of melted ghee.
