Makes 20 pieces
1 cup peanuts
1/2 cup chana dal (split bengal gram)
5 green chillies
1 small bunch coriander (dhania) , finely chopped
1 tsp ginger (adrak)
a pinch turmeric powder (haldi)
salt to taste
oil for deep frying
Method
- Method
- Wash and soak groundnuts and chana dal in hot water for 4 hours.
- Drain and grind the chana dal and groundnuts to a coarse paste along with the green chillies, coriander leaves, ginger, turmeric and salt.
- Take a small quantity and flatten on the palm and deep fry till it turns golden brown in colour. Drain and serve hot with coconut chutney.
