This traditional kebab made with green chana, spinach, mint, coriander, green chillies and lemon juice is a quick and tasty starter that is loved by everyone.

Hara Chana Kebab recipe - How to make Hara Chana Kebab

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:    Makes 4 serving

Ingredients

1 cup fresh hara chana (green chick peas) , soaked
1 tbsp mint leaves (phudina) , roughly chopped
1 tbsp coriander (dhania) , roughly chopped
2 green chillies
1 cup spinach (palak) , roughly chopped
1 tsp roasted coriander (dhania) powder
1/2 tsp roasted cumin seeds (jeera) powder
1/4 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp chilli powder
salt to taste
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
2 tbsp rice flour (chawal ka atta)
1 tsp lemon juice
oil for cooking

Method
    Method
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a mixer and blend to a coarse mixture. Mix well.
  2. Divide the mixture into 8 to 10 equal portions and shape them into flat kebabs.
  3. Heat a non-stick tava and and cook a few kebabs at a time till they are golden brown in colour from both the sides.
  4. Serve hot with chutney, chat masala or tomato ketchup.
