A light soup with a lovely flavour.

Milk Vegetable Soup recipe - How to make Milk Vegetable Soup

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:    Serves 6.

Ingredients


1 1/2 cups mixed vegetables
1 chopped onion
2 tbsp butter
3 cups milk
1 1/2 tbsp plain flour (maida)

Method
    Method
  1. Heat the butter and fry the onion for 1 minute.
  2. Add the vegetables and fry again for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Add 1 teacup of water and cook until the vegetables are soft.
  4. Mix the flour and milk, heat for a little while and add to the vegetables.
  5. Serve hot.

Tips
  1. Note : Omit the use of plain flour if making for convalescents.

My mum who was Estonian made this for me as a child. Tasty easy to make soup. Great memories, and now a recipe I can share with my children.
