Paneer Pasta Upma recipe - How to make Paneer Pasta Upma

Makes 4 servings
1 cup boiled macaroni
1 tbsp ghee
2 tsp urad dal (split black lentils)
1 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
a pinch asafoetida (hing)
a few curry leaves (kadi patta)
1/4 cup chopped paneer (cottage cheese)
1/2 cup chopped spring onions
1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
1/4 cup chopped capsicum
salt and freshly ground black pepper powder to taste
1 tsp sugar
a few basil leaves , chopped
Method
- Method
- Heat the ghee in a kadhai and add the mustard seeds, urad dal and cumin seeds.
- When the seeds crackle, add the asafoetida and curry leaves and saute for few seconds.
- Add the onions, capsicum and tomatoes, mix well and saute for a while.
- Add the salt, pepper, sugar and basil and mix well.
- Add the macaroni and paneer and mix well.
- Serve warm.
