A serving of two of these wraps with a glass of golden glory frappe, is good to satiate you at dinnertime and keep you going till the next morning. This meal is full of energy, fibre and flavour.

For The Paneer Shavarma
1/2 cup low fat paneer (cottage cheese)
1/4 cup onions , sliced
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1/4 tsp cinnamon (dalchini) powder
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp honey
1 tsp green chillies , finely chopped
1 tsp oil
salt to taste
Other Ingredients
2 chapatis (150 mm. (6") diameter)
1/4 cup tomatoes , cut into thin strips
2 tbsp mint leaves (phudina) , chopped
1/2 recipe herbed hummus

- For the paneer shavarma
- Grind together all the ingredients, other than the paneer and oil, into a smooth paste.
- Apply the onion mixture on the paneer and keep aside.
- Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and sauté the marinated paneer cubes, along with the paste for 2 to 3 minutes, till it turns golden in colour.
- Turn the paneer cubes over and cook till the other side turns golden in colour.
- Remove and keep aside.

- Heat one chapati lightly on a pan and keep aside.
- Apply half the hummus evenly on one side of the chapati, place half the paneer in the centre, sprinkle 1 tablespoon mint leaves and half the tomatoes and roll up the chapati.
- Repeat with the second chapati to make one more wrap.
- Serve immediately.

Tried this with aloo as me n my husband won''t like to eat paneer much n tried spinach hummus instead of herbed hummus finally in the end of the day taste was awesome...my husband loved it thanks a lot mam for this recipe..
Hummus itself is so tasty and healthy...adding fresh herbs to the recipe ...makes it healthier and wealthier in terms of nutrients....tomato and lettuce gives that crunch.....must try recipe!
