Raw tomato achar is a pickle recipe with unripe tomatoes and is quite common in South Indian households. The unripe tomatoes are cut and mixed with oil, masala,tamarind, salt and kept overnight before drying under the sun. the raw mango achar tastes great with rice and sambhar.

1/2 cup green tomatoes , chopped into small pieces
2 tsp mustard (rai / sarson) powder
2 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
a pinch asafoetida (hing)
2 tbsp oil
Method
- Put oil in kadahi
- Add mustured ,let it split
- Add hing
- Add tomato
- When turns colour and become soft ,remove from fire
- Cool ,keep in fridge ,it will last for 1 week
