Sindhi Sai Bhaji recipe - How to make Sindhi Sai Bhaji

Makes 3 to 4 servings
1 cup chana dal (split bengal gram)
500 gms spinach (palak) , shredded
2 tbsp oil
2 onions , sliced
6 garlic (lehsun) cloves
2 tsp chopped ginger (adrak)
4 green chillies , finely chopped
1 tomato , finely chopped
a pinch of turmeric powder (haldi)
2 tsp chilli powder
2 tsp coriander (dhania) powder
salt to taste
Method
- Method
- Heat a pressure cooker, add the onions and saute till they turn pink.
- Add the garlic, ginger and green chillies and immediately add the spinach and saute for 1 minute.
- Add the chana dal and tomatoes and add the remaining ingredients along with 1/4 cup of water and oil and mix well.
- Cover and pressure cook for 4 whistles.
- Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
- Blend using a hand blender.
- Serve hot with brown pulav or methi chawal.
