Green peas are cooked, pureed and then mixed with corn to give a delightfully mild flavoured soup.

Serves 4.
1 1/2 cups fresh green peas
1/2 onion, chopped
1 clove of garlic (lehsun), crushed
1 tbsp plain flour (maida)
1/4 tsp chilli powder
3/4 cup boiled sweet corn kernels, crushed
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp salt
For serving
fresh cream
chopped coriander (dhania)
grated processed cheese
chopped parsley
Method
- Method
- Mix the peas, onion, garlic and 4 cups of water and boil for 10 minutes until tender. Blend in a mixer and strain.
- Heat the butter, add the flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the peas mixture, chilli powder, corn and salt and cook for 2 minutes.
- When you want to serve, add the cream, coriander, parsley and cheese.
- Serve hot.
