A quick, simple and tasty Steamed chana dal balls are rich in proteins and low in calories. A great snacking option for all health aspirants, the chana dal balls are steamed and enjoyed with sauce as snack or breakfast.

3 cups chana dal (split Bengal gram)
2 cups chopped onions
1/2 cup mint leaves (phudina)
1/2 cup coriander (dhania)
10 to 12 green chillies
1 " piece of ginger (adrak)
2 cloves (laung / lavang)
salt to taste
Method
- Soak chanadal for 3-4hrs.
- Cut the onions,pudina,coriander finely and keep aside.
- Grind the dal coarosely by adding g-chilly,ginger & clove.{add water if required}.
- After grinding take this into a bowl,add chopped onion,pudina , coriander,salt and mix well.
- By taking a small portion of the mixture start making an oval shape size balls or make round balls and press them slightly.
- Place all the balls in steaming plate greased with a spoon of ghee.
- Steam for about 10-12min.
