Ingredients


2 large sized onions
1 tbsp oil
1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
1/2 cup Steamed Rice
1/2 cup grated paneer (cottage cheese)
2 tbsp chopped cashewnuts (kaju)
2 tbsp tomato puree
2 tbsp chopped parsley
1/2 tsp Baharat
salt to taste
1/2 tsp sugar
2 tbsp grated processed cheese for the topping
oil for greasing

Method
    Main Procedure
  1. Peel the onions, trim off the roots and top and cut into halves.
  2. Separate the outer layer of the onion halves from the smaller central layers and discard the latter. Keep the outer halves aside.
  3. Heat the oil in a pan add the tomatoes and sauté for 2 minutes.
  4. Add all the remaining ingredients and sauté for 5 to 6 more minutes.
  5. Stuff the onion halves with the above mixture and top with the cheese.
  6. Arrange the onion cups on a greased baking dish and bake in a pre-heated hot oven at 200ºC (400ºF) for 8 to 10 minutes or till the cheese melts.
  7. Serve hot.
