A very tasty tiffin treat for tiny tots.
Sweetcorn and Pineapple Appe recipe - How to make Sweetcorn and Pineapple Appe

Makes 4 serving
1 cup idli batter
1/4 cup crushed sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane)
2 tbsp chopped canned pineapple
2 tbsp chopped paneer (cottage cheese)
1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
salt to taste
2 tbsp chopped onions
water as required
1/2 tsp fruit salt
For The Tempering
1 tbsp ghee
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
Method
- Method
- Combine all the ingredients and temper it.
- Heat the appe moulds and grease it with ghee.
- Add fruit salt and little water mix well.
- Keep the batter semi thick dropping.
- Fill up the appe mould, garnish it with raisins, cover and cook until brownish turn and cook again until brownish.
- Pack it in tiffin with home made tomato chutney.
