Since nonstick tava is being used, very little oil is required.
along/with onion, grated carrots, finely chopped tomatoes, or capsicum can also be used.
for better results, it is better to follow cooking instructions on vermicelli packet.
either rice or wheat vermicelli may be used.

Ingredients


100 gms vermicelli (seviyan) (cooked and drained)
1 cup fine semolina (rava)
2 medium sized onions
2 to 3 green chillies, finely chopped
2 to 3 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania) leaves
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
salt to taste
water for mixing
1 tsp fruit salt
oil for roasting pancakes

Method

  1. Mix all the above ingredients except oil. the batter must be of dosa batter consistency.
  2. Leave the batter for 20-30 minutes.
  3. Heat a nonstick tava. smear it with 1/2 teaspoon oil and pour the above-mentioned batter.
  4. Roast till golden brown color. flip over and roast for a few minutes. repeat the procedure for the remaining pancakes.
  5. Serve hot with any chutney or sauce.
