Prepare the tasty aloo mutter cheese tikki from mashed potatoes (aloo)), green peas and grated cheese. A cheesy and delicious snack recipe, the tikkis are shallow fried and then relished with dahi and onion rings.

Ingredients

500 gms boiled and mashed potatoes
500 gms blanched green peas
4 to 5 green chillies
1/2 cup coriander (dhania)
1/4 cup mint leaves (phudina)
2 tbsp cornflour
1 cup grated processed cheese
salt to taste
ghee for frying

Method
    Method
  1. Combine the green peas, coriander leaves, mint leaves and green chillies and blend in a mixer till smooth.
  2. Add this to the mashed potatoes and mix well to a uniform paste.
  3. Add the cornflour and salt and mix well.
  4. Divide the mixture into equal portions and roll out into small round flat tikkis.
  5. Press a little at the centre, place a tsp of cheese and cover and form a tikki.
  6. Heat the ghee in a pan and shallow fry till golden brown and crisp.
  7. Serve hot with dahi and sliced onions.
