Banana sandwich is a simple energy dense breakfast item with the banana slices added in between the bread slices and then drizzled over with honey. A sweet and delicious sandwich recipe which is a healthy choice for children.

Ingredients


8 bread slices
1 ripe banana (cut into small discs)
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp nylon sev
1 tsp black salt (sanchal) or chaat masala
For Green Chutney
3/4 cup mint leaves (phudina)
1 1/8 cups coriander (dhania)
1 small sized onion
1 small tomato
2 green chillies
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
salt to taste

Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients for the green chutney and blend it using little water. keep it aside.
  2. Apply butter on 4 bread slices.
  3. Apply green chutney on remaining 4 bread slices.
  4. Arrange banana pieces on the breads with butter.
  5. Sprinkle nylon sev on top of banana.
  6. Sprinkle black salt as per taste.
  7. Cover using the bread with green chutney.
  8. Heat the tava on medium flame.
  9. Heat the sandwich till golden brown.
  10. Serve hot.
