Batata & Tamatar Poha recipe - How to make Batata & Tamatar Poha

1/4 kg beaten rice (poha)
2 potatoes
1 tomato
3 onions
5 green chillies
1 cup coriander (dhania)
1 cup grated coconut
1 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1 spring of curry leaves (kadi patta)
salt & sugar to taste
Method
- Wash poha.
- Strain in a colander
- Add half of the coconut, coriander,turmeric, sugar & salt to it
- Keep aside for 1/2 an hour.
- Heat oil.
- Add mustard seeds cumin seeds, curry patta & green chillies & turmeric pd.
- Add onion and fry well.
- Add tomatoes & fry again
- Add the potatoes and cook for a while.
- Add the poha.
- Mix well.
- Garnish with the remaining coconut & coriander.
- Serve hot, after sprinkling sev.
