Makes 10 to 12 parathas
1/2 cup grated beetroot
1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
1/2 cup besan (bengal gram flour)
1/2 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
1 tsp chopped green chillies
1 cup chopped coriander (dhania)
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp roasted cumin seeds (jeera) powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
salt to taste
oil for cooking
tamarind (imli) ki chutney for serving
Method
- Method
- Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, add enough water and knead into a smooth dough.
- divide the dough into 12 equal portions and roll them into parathas.
- Cook each paratha using oil till golden brown spots appears on both the sides.
- Serve hot.
