Biscuit Roti recipe - How to make Biscuit Roti

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:    Makes 3 rotis

Ingredients

1/2 coconut , grated
1/2 cup chopped coriander (dhania) leaves
5 to 6 green chillies , chopped
2 to 3 tsp besan (bengal gram flour)
2 cups plain flour (maida)
2 tbsp oil
salt to taste
oil for deep-frying

Method
    Method
  1. Combine the plain flour and salt and sieve.
  2. Add the oil, mix well and knead into stiff dough, using enough water. Keep aside.
  3. Combine the coconut, coriander, green chillies and salt in a bowl and mix well. Keep aside.
  4. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan, add the besan and saute till it turns golden brown. Remove from the flame and cool.
  5. Add this to the coconut mixture and mix well.
  6. Divide the dough into equal portions.
  7. Roll out a portion of the dough into a circle of 2” diameter.
  8. Place a portion of the coconut mixture at the centre and bring the edges together at the centre to seal tightly.
  9. Roll out again into a circle of 4” diameter.
  10. Repeat with the remaining dough and ingredients to make more such rotis.
  11. Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry the rotis till they becomes crisp and golden brown from both the sides.
  12. Serve hot or store in an air-tight container.
