Ingredients

1 cup plain flour (maida)
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
2/3 cup sugar
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
3/4 cup buttermilk
1 cup strawberries
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp butter
1/4 tbsp oil

Method
    Method
  1. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt, sieve well and keep aside.
  2. Beat the butter, oil and sugar till fluffy.
  3. Add vanilla essence to this mixture and beat again
  4. Add flour and buttermilk alternatively and mix well,
  5. Add strawberries setting aside a few for the top.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased dish. Place the remaining strawberries on top and sprinkle a tablespoon of sugar.
  7. Bake in the microwave for 10 mins on crisp or as per your microwave's settings.
  8. May be served with ice-cream or whipped cream on top
