Wow.... this was a special simple rice that I prepared for my husband today morning... It came out well .... the rice with lightly sweet and garlicky taste, nice.

Carrot Garlic Masala Rice recipe - How to make Carrot Garlic Masala Rice

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:    Makes 4 serving

Ingredients

3 cups cooked rice
2 carrot , thinly sliced
2 tbsp green peas
1 medium sized onion , chopped
10-12 garlic clove , finely chopped
1 medium sized tomato , finely chopped
salt to taste
2 tsp oil
1 tsp ghee
1/2 tbsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1 tsp garam masala
freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) powder to taste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)

Method
    Method
  1. Heat the oil and ghee in a broad non-stick pan.
  2. Add cumin seeds,when the seeds crackle add asafoetida and garlic and saute for a few seconds.
  3. Add onions and carrots and saute again for 1 minute or until soft.
  4. Add green peas and tomatoes, mix well.
  5. Add turmeric, garam masala, black pepper powder, salt and mix well. Keep aside for 2 minutes.
  6. Add the cooked rice and garnish with coriander.
  7. Serve hot.
