Chana dal halwa is an indian sweet dish prepared from cooked chana dal, sugar, ghee and spices like cardamom. A delicious dessert dish which can be relished with chopped nuts as garnishing!

Makes 4 servings
1 1/2 cups cooked chana dal (split bengal gram)
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup coconut milk
2 tsp rice flour (chawal ka atta)
1/4 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
5 tsp ghee
fried cashewnut (kaju)

- Method
- Heat a kadhai and add the chana dal, sugar, coconut milk and rice powder, mix well and saute till it the mixture turns into a semi solid.
- Add the ghee and cardamom powder, mix well and saute for one minute.
- Serve hot garnished with cashewnut and raisins.
