This dish great on a rainy day.
if fresh green peas are not available use frozen ones, but add them when the potatoes & corn are cooked.
Chatpata Corn recipe - How to make Chatpata Corn
Preparation Time: 10 MINS. Cooking Time: 15 MINS. Total Time:
250 gms corn (makai ke dane)
100 gms green peas
2 green chillies
1/2 tsp chilli powder
2 potatoes
2 tbsp ghee
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1 pinch asafoetida (hing)
salt to taste
aloo lacha (sold as namkeen - also available as lehar aloo lachha, for garnish
chopped coriander (dhania) for garnish
1 tbsp lemon juice
Method
- Wash the corn & green peas. peel & chop the potatoes into bite sized cubes, chop the green chillies finely.
- Heat ghee in a karahi. add hing & jeera & cook till the jeera splutters. now add the potatoes7 saute for 5 mins.. now add the corn & the peas & saute. add salt , cover & cook until the corn, peas& potatoes are cooked. now, add the green chillies & the chilli powd. & saute. add lemon juice & mix well.
- Serve topped with chopped coriander & aloo lachha.
