Chikolia is a traditional vegetable recipe with wheat flour teamed chapattis cooked with greens and garlic. The wheat flour dough is cut into diamond bits and cooked with ginger garlic paste and onion along with chopped greens. the chikolia is served topped with ground coconut.

Makes 2 servings
1 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
1 tsp ginger-garlic (adrak-lehsun) paste
1 onion , chopped
2 tomatoes , cubed
1 cup fenugreek (methi) leaves
2 cups khatta bhaji (indian sorrel leaves)
chilli powder - to taste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
salt to taste
1 cup coconut paste

- Method
- First knead the dough well and roll it to make chappathis. Then cut the raw chappathis into diamond shape bitsand keep it aside.
- Take a pressure pan and put some oil and heat it. When it is sufficiently hot put the ginger garlic paste and fry for some time and then add onion and tomato, turmeric,red chilli powder and fry till soft.
- Now add the greens and the diamond shaped bits and water and let it boil till well cooked.
- When it is cooked add the ground coconut and let it simmer for a few minutes.
- Serve
