This dessert is a part of quick-to-make recipe made within 10 minutes. Also serves for people who fast in shravan month. Variation - if desired, can also apply silver warq on it.

Makes 5 servings
2 cups grated coconut
1 cup sugar
1 cup grated paneer (cottage cheese)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp saffron (kesar) strands mixed with water
3 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
chopped almonds (badam) and pistachios for garnishing
Method
- Method
- Heat a pan, add the coconut and sugar and saute on a slow flame for 5 minutes.
- Combine the paneer, powdered sugar and saffron paste in another bowl and mix well.
- Add this mixture to the sauted mixture of coconut, add the cardamom powder, mix well and saute for more 2 minutes.
- Pour into a greased thali, sprinkle slices of almond and pistachio and refrigerate for 2 minutes.
- Serve chilled.
