Coconut poha is a typical Maharashtrian poha recipe with rice flakes or poha cooked with coconut flakes, chopped onion, coconut, sugar, salt and coriander leaves. The coconut poha is served garnished with fresh lime juice and coriander leaves as breakfast or snack.
Coconut Poha recipe - How to make Coconut Poha
Preparation Time: 12 mts Cooking Time: 10 mts Total Time:
1 cup beaten rice (poha)
1 tbsp peanuts
1/2 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1 tsp finely chopped green chillies
1 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
1/2 cup grated coconut
1 tsp lemon juice
2 tbsp oil
2 tsp sugar
salt to taste
Method
- Wash & soak poha for 5 mts
- Drain water keep aside
- In a kadai heat oil splutter mustard seeds,cumin seeds, add ground nuts,chopped chillies.
- Add poha to the above,add salt and grated coconut,sugar and mix well.
- Remove from fire, garnish with coriander leaves add lime juice.
