Makes 2 servings
1 cup cooked rice
1/4 cup freshly grated coconut
1 tbsp chana dal (split bengal gram)
1/2 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
2 to 3 whole dry kashmiri red chillies
7 to 8 curry leaves (kadi patta)
3 tbsp oil
salt to taste

- Method
- Heat the oil in kadhai and add the chana dal, mustard seeds and red chillies and saute till the dal turns golden brown in colour.
- Add the coconut and saute till it turns golden brown in colour.
- Add the rice and salt and mix well.
- Add the curry leaves, mix well and cook for 3 minutes.
- Serve hot.
