Crispy Chaat recipe - How to make Crispy Chaat

Ingredients


For The Chaat
1 cup sprouts
2 cups puffed rice (kurmura)
1 cup cornflakes (optional)
1/2 cup chick peas
1 onion , finely chopped
1 cucumber , finely chopped
1 ginger (adrak) , finely chopped
2 finely chopped green chillies
3-4 wheat (gehun) biscuits (optional)
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)

For The Spices
1 tsp chat masala
1/2 tsp chilli powder.
1/2 tsp roasted cumin seeds (jeera) powder
1 tsp dried mint leaves (phudina)
salt and freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) to taste

Method
    Method
  1. Steam the sprouts with 1/4th cup water and salt in a covered microwave safe bowl for 2-3 mins at 100% power. Allow to stand for 5 minutes.
  2. Take 2 potatoes, wash and prick them with a fork.
  3. Boil covered in 1 cup of water at 100% power for 4-5 mins, in microwave safe bowl.
  4. Allow to stand for 5 mins. Peel and chop them.
  5. Wash and soak the chick peas overnight.
  6. Drain the excess water. Boil in 3 cups water and salt at 100% power for 30 mins. And then at 60% power for 15 mins(covered).
  7. Allow to stand for 5 minutes.
  8. Mix all the ingredients of chaat and spices thoroughly
  9. in a mixing bowl.
  10. Serve immediately with tomato sauce,mint/coriander chutney.
