Makes 2 to 3 servings
1 cup sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane)
4 tbsp besan (bengal gram flour)
2 tbsp schezuan sauce
1 tbsp dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)
salt to taste
2 chopped green chillies
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 cup water
oil for deep frying
a pinch turmeric powder (haldi)
1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)
1 chopped onions
a pinch baking soda

- Method
- Grind corn kernels with water into fine paste and then taken in bowl.
- Add gram flour, schezwan chutney, dry fenugreek leaves, green chillies, asafoetida, turmeric, red chilli powder,chopped onion, baking soda and salt (if requied) and make thick and pouring consistency batter.
- Heat oil, reduce the heat to medium, take a little prepared batter and drop it into the oil fry until golden brown, stirring in between. Remove it from the oil and drain excess oil on a paper towel.
- Serve with ketchup.
