Ingredients


200 gms dates (khajur), seedless
80 gms walnuts (akhrot)
1 1/2 cups plain flour (maida)
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup hot boiling water
3 eggs
1 cup powdered sugar
100 gms butter
1 tsp vanilla essence

Method

  1. Sieve the flour,baking soda,soda bi-carb 3-4 times and keep it aside.
  2. Chop the dates and walnuts finely.
  3. Beat the egg and keep it aside.
  4. Put the chopped dates, salted butter,sugar powder and hot boiling water in a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly but not too much.
  5. Add the beaten eggs alternatively with the flour in the mixing bowl till both are used.
  6. Keep mixing the mixture.
  7. Lastly add the chopped walnuts and the essence.
  8. Bake the cake in a oven at 150 degrees for 45 mts.
