Makes 4 servings
2 tins canned corn kernels (makai ke dane)
2 boiled potatoes , peeled and chopped
1 tomato , finely chopped
2 onions , finely chopped
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
2 tsp oil
2 pinchs of asafoetida (hing)
1/2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp sugar
salt to taste
chopped coriander (dhania) for garnishing
1 tsp finely chopped green chillies
grated fresh coconut for garnishing
Method
- Method
- Heat the oil in a deep pan, add the cumin seeds and when the seeds crackle, add the asafoetida.
- Add the onions and green chillies and saute till the onions turn translucent.
- Add the tomatoes and saute for more 2 minutes.
- Add the corn, potatoes, lemon juice, sugar and salt and mix well.
- Garnish with coriander and coconut.
- Serve hot.
