Faraali Soup recipe - How to make Faraali Soup

Makes 6 to 7 servings
1/2 cup boiled and finely chopped raw banana
1/4 cup finely chopped cabbage
2 tbsp rajgira flour mixed with 1/4 cup water
2 tsp oil
2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
a few curry leaves (kadi patta)
2 tsp grated ginger (adrak)
salt and freshly ground black pepper powder
2 tbsp finely chopped basil
2 tbsp finely chopped tomatoes
2 tsp sugar
To Garnish
grated carrot
To Serve
baked banana chips
Method
- Method
- Heat the oil in a kadhai and add the cumin seeds.
- When the seeds crackle, add the curry leaves and saute for 10 seconds.
- Add the cabbage and raw banana and saute for 2 minutes.
- Add the flour-water mixture and the remaining ingredients and adjust the consistency by adding more water and simmer it for 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot garnished with grated carrot.
- Serve with baked banana chips.
