For The Fruity Wine Sauce
1 apple , deseeded
1 pear , deseeded
1 chikoo , peeled and deseeded
1 banana , peeled
1 pomegranate (anar) , peeled
1 orange , peeled
1 cup red wine or port wine
4 to 5 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cornflour
25 mm (1") piece cinnamon (dalchini)
a pinch of nutmeg (jaiphal)

- For the fruity wine sauce
- Cut all the fruits into cubes. Separate out the pomegranate seeds.
- Heat the wine and sugar in a saucepan.
- Add the cinnamon and nutmeg and simmer for some time.
- Add the fruits and cook for 1 minute.
- In a small bowl, dissolve the cornflour in some water.
- Add this and simmer till the fruits are glazed.
- Remove from the fire and cool.

- Cut into individual portions and serve immediately.
