Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups long grained rice (basmati)
2 tbsp ghee or butter
1 tbsp cumin seeds (jeera)
2 pieces each of cinnamon (dalchini), cloves (laung / lavang) , cardamom (elaichi)
1/4 cup broken cashewnuts (kaju)
1/4 cup onion paste
1 tsp ginger-garlic (adrak-lehsun) paste
1/2 tsp M.S.G
salt to taste

- Heat ghee in a pan, add cashew nuts and fry till light brown. remove and keep aside
- Now add cumin seeds and spices to the ghee. fry for 1/2 minute and then add the onion paste and ginger-garlic paste and fry for another 2 minutes.
- Add rice, salt and 3 cups of water. cook till rice is done.
- Garnish with roasted cashew nuts and serve hot.
