Makes 50 to 60 pieces
1 cup milk powder
1 cup part skimmed ricotta chesse
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 cups whipping cream
1/2 cup melted butter
2 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
a few saffron (kesar) strands strands , crushed
yellow food colour if desired
Method
- Method
- Heat the butter in a nonstick kadhai and add the ricotta chesse, milk powder, sugar, whipped cream and boil the mixture till it becomes thick and starts leaving the sides of the kadhai.
- Add the cardamom powder and kesar and a little yellow colour and mix well.
- Remove from the flame and keep aside to cool.
- Divide the mixture into small equal portions and shape them into 60 small round flat pedas.
- Store refrigerated.
