Layered Rice recipe - How to make Layered Rice
Preparation Time: Cooking Time: Total Time:
1 potato , chopped into small squares
1 onion , chopped in same size as potatoes
1 tomato , finely chopped
1/2 tsp garlic (lehsun) paste
1/2 tsp green chilli paste
1 tsp ginger (adrak) paste
1 cup cauliflower florets
1 cup long grained rice (basmati rice)
1 cup grated carrot
1 cup coriander (dhania)
1 tsp chilli powder
salt to taste
oil for cooking
Method
- 1. soak the rice for 30 mins
- 2.fry the potaotes onions and caulifower in oil till cooked...be careful they shuld not crush or break each should remain as whole
- 3.now heat 1 teaspoon oil in a pan
- 4. add ginger,garlic n green chili paste...saute fro sometime na dd teh chooped tomates
- 5.now add salt n fried veg
- 6. saute till the oil leaves the vessel
- 7.cook rice till almost done c to it the rice does not break
- 8.take a baking dish
- Grease it and spread the vegetables
- 9.now add some amt of rice over this layer
- 10. add grated carrots over this layer of rice
- 11. add the remaining rice on this layer of carrots
- 12 take ghee in a small pan...add jeera n mustard seeds n cashewnuts .. fry till cashew nuts r light brown n spread over the rive layer
- 13.put in over for 5-7 mins
- 14 garnish with lots of coriander
