Makes 4 servings
For The Koftas
2 boiled potatoes , mashed
75 gms paneer (cottage cheese) , grated
1 tsp chopped green chillies
25 gms raisins (kismis)
salt to taste
1/4 cup cornflour
oil for deep frying
For The Gravy
1 cup boiled onion paste
1/2 tsp chopped green chillies
1 tbsp garlic (lehsun) paste
1 tbsp ginger (adrak) paste
1/2 cup mava (khoya)
1/2 cup cream
1 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tsp coriander (dhania) powder
1 tsp garam masala
1/2 cup tomato puree
1 tsp chilli powder
2 tbsp oil
salt to taste

- For the koftas
- Combine all the ingredients, except the raisin, and mix well.
- Divide the mixture into 16 equal portions and shape them into small round balls.
- Stuff raisins into each round and roll again to shape them.
- Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry till they turn golden brown and crisp.
- Drain on an absorbent paper and keep aside.

- Heat oil in a kadhai and add the onion paste and saute for 5 minutes.
- Add the ginger and garlic paste, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt, mix well and saute for a minute.
- Add the tomato puree and red chili powder, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 8-10 minutes.
- Add the garam masala and mix well.
- Dissolve the milk powder in 1½ cups water and add to the gravy, mix well and bring to a boil.
- Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Top with cream.
