Masala Vegetable recipe - How to make Masala Vegetable

Serves 8
450 gms cauliflower
450 gms potatoes
450 gms green peas
3 onions, chopped
1/3 cup corriander (dhania), chopped
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
4 tsp coriander-cumin seeds (dhania-jeera) powder
3 to 4 tsp chilli powder
6 tbsp oil
1 tsp garam masala
salt to taste
2 tsp chopped corriander (dhania) for decoration
To be ground into a paste
4 tsp grated coconut
4 green chillies
25 mm. (1") piece of ginger (adrak)
14 cloves garlic (lehsun)
Method
- Method
- Cut the vegetables into big pieces.
- Mix the chopped coriander, turmeric powder, dhana - jira powder, chilli powder, chopped onions paste,2 tablespoons of oil and salt very well.
- Add the vegetables. Apply the paste mixture to the vegetables.
- Put the vegetables in a big vessel and add 4 tablespoons of oil and 2 teacups of water.
- Cover and cook until the vegetables is cooked.
- Sprinkle the garam masala and chopped coriander.
- Seve hot.
- You can also make this vegetable using small round brinjal instead of cauliflower. This preparation goes very well with "Khichadi".
