Atta ka sheera is a simple and traditional sheera or sweet dish recipe prepared by cooking together the roasted wheat flour, ghee and sugar. Relish the sheera with chopped nuts as garnish.

Ingredients

1/2 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup cardamom (elaichi) powder
1/4 cup melted ghee
chopped mixed nuts for garnishing

  1. Combine the whole wheat flour and ghee in a microwave safe bowl, mix well and microwave on high for 3 minutes.
  2. Add the sugar, cardamom powder and 3/4 cup of water, mix well and microwave on high for 2 minutes or till the sugar has dissolved.
  3. Serve hot garnished with nuts.
